Outpatient Lab Services

Cost efficiencies are driving factors and goals in any business, but they are critical for Keystone Mercy in our effort to provide high quality services in a managed care environment for our Members. To support and attain this goal it is imperative to adhere to the following:

  • Network Providers must utilize their assigned laboratory when outpatient laboratory studies are required for their Keystone Mercy Members

The only exception to this rule is STAT laboratory services. STAT laboratory services are defined as:

  • Laboratory services that require completion and reporting of results within four hours of receipt of the specimen.
