Keystone Mercy Health Plan Participates in Third Annual Conference on Health Disparities
Philadelphia, PA – Keystone Mercy Health Plan will participate in the 3rd Annual Conference on Health Disparities at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, Georgia, from December 2-5, 2009. This conference is hosted by Morehouse School of Medicine, Medical University of South Carolina and the Congressional Tri-Caucus. Maria Pajil Battle, Senior Vice President, Public Affairs & Marketing, Keystone Mercy Health Plan, will be a participant on a panel entitled, The Need for Public and Private Partnerships in Addressing Health Care Reform panel on Saturday, December 5, at 9:30 a.m.
This conference will discuss various ways to improve our health care system. It will address the issues of social determinants of health disparities, such as poverty, education, environmental and climate change; the impact of technology on reducing costs and improving outcomes; the role of community health centers in health care delivery; and the benefits of public/private partnerships in addressing health care issues.
