Keystone Mercy Health Plan Maintains Excellent NCQA Accreditation

September 28, 2007
Philadelphia, PA - Keystone Mercy Health Plan has maintained its accreditation status of Excellent from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA).  Following an on-site survey in July 2007, Keystone Mercy received a three year accreditation from NCQA.  The survey results were based on the Plan’s 2006 HEDIS and CAHPS scores, a review of utilization management, credentialing and appeal files, and an assessment plan performance against NCQA's standards.  The Excellent status is based on service and clinical quality that meet or exceed NCQA’s rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement.  It is a reflection of the high quality of care that Keystone Mercy Health Plan provides to its members on a daily basis.

“I am proud that Keystone Mercy has been recognized nationally for the exceptional quality of care we provide to our members,” said Anne Morrissey, President, PA Managed Care, Keystone Mercy Health Plan.  “This recognition by NCQA validates that we are living our mission to deliver quality care to our members.”
