Keystone Mercy Health Plan Partners with Congreso, Pennsylvania Medical Society, IBC and Bristol-Meyer Squibb To Sponsor ‘A Su Salud’ Mass Media Latino Health Campaign in PennsylvaniaFebruary 28, 2007 Su Salud (To Your Health) includes four 30-minute Spanish cooking shows set to air in March of 2007 on TELEMUNDO via Comcast Cable Network. The show, named “Cocinando con Sabor,” will be hosted by a Latino chef with Latino health professionals appearing as guests to speak about health and fitness topics in a culturally appropriate and compelling manner. As part of the campaign, free blood pressure and body mass index screenings will be offered at Congreso de Latinos Unidos and other participating health and social service providers across the eight counties, directing individuals to treatment if needed. “Keystone Mercy proudly supports Congreso’s efforts to fight obesity in the Latino community,” said Anne Morrissey, President, Pennsylvania Managed Care, Keystone Mercy. “As a sponsor, we are able to grow our mission to help people get care, stay well and build a healthy community for our Latino members.” Other sponsors of the project include the Bristol-Myers Squibb and Sanofi-Synthelabo, along with the Philadelphia region’s leading health insurer Independence Blue Cross. Keystone Mercy Health Plan, a health care ministry of the Sisters of Mercy in affiliation with Keystone First, Inc., is the largest Medical Assistance managed care organization in Pennsylvania, serving more than 270,000 Medical Assistance recipients. Keystone Mercy's mission is to help people get care, stray well and build healthy communities. For more information about Keystone Mercy Health Plan, please visit www.keystonemercy.com. |
