Medicaid Members Receive More Than Health CareKeystone Mercy Campaign Raises More Than $170,000 for Members' Education and Other NeedsMarch 9, 2006 Money raised by Mission Partnership is used for programs that help members in extreme need. As an example, the 2005 campaign funded the installation of new steps and a concrete sidewalk to help a young Keystone Mercy member with physical limitations. The new entrance provides more freedom for the member to move around outside in his wheelchair. "The Mission Partnership Campaign is a true example of how much the employees of Keystone Mercy care about our members," said Sister Renee Yann, Senior Vice President of Mission and Values at Keystone Mercy. "This campaign shows the dedication that Keystone Mercy has to serving its members. It is an amazing thing to see so many people excited to help those in need." The spirited and energetic two-week campaign raised money from Keystone Mercy employees to fund the company's Member Scholarship Program, Gifts of Mercy and Associates' Family Scholarship Program. Money is also donated to the affiliated agencies of the United Way. The Member Scholarship Program provides academic scholarships to members to achieve their goals of obtaining a degree in higher education. Since its inception in 1988, the program has awarded more than 600 scholarships, totaling nearly $1.1 million. The Gifts of Mercy program, created in 1992, uses money raised by the Mission Partnership Campaign during the holiday season to purchase gifts for Keystone Mercy members who need it most.
