Tobacco Cessation Program

Keystone Mercy encourages you to quit smoking cigarettes or using other tobacco products.  Keystone Mercy's Tobacco Cessation Program is there to help members stop using tobacco products.

Keystone Mercy encourages you to quit smoking cigarettes or using other tobacco products. All Keystone Mercy members are eligible for seventy tobacco cessation counseling sessions per calendar year. (Each session is a 15-minute face-to-face counseling session, in either individual or group formats.) Members do not need a referral or prior authorization to go to a counseling session. The provider holding the sessions must participate in the Medical Assistance Program and be approved by the Department of Health. Call Member Services to find the approved providers in your area.

Members who are eligible for prescription services may obtain tobacco cessation drug products, such as bupropion and the generic nicotine patch, with a written prescription from their health care provider.

Members under 18 years of age can have a prescription for smoking cessation products without the permission of a parent or guardian.
