Preventive/Routine Care

Keystone Mercy encourages you to get the right preventive/routine care you need. It is important that you and your family get this care to avoid getting sick. Please go to the following areas to learn more:

  • Dental
Your dentist will give you regular checkups and take care of your dental care. Members who are eligible for dental services can get a routine dental exam and cleaning once every 6 months.*
  • Eye
All Keystone Mercy members are eligible for a routine eye exam. Call your eye doctor to schedule an eye exam.
  • Your Primary Care Practitioner (PCP)
When you join Keystone Mercy Health Plan, you choose a PCP. Your PCP oversees your health care. He or she is responsible for taking care of your health and, when necessary, arranging care for you from other health care providers.
  • Testing for Breast Cancer
Keystone Mercy covers mammograms (X-ray of the breast) for all women when it is ordered by the doctor. Getting tested is the best way for women to lower the risk of dying from breast cancer. Our female members over 40 need to talk to their doctors about getting a mammogram.
  • It Pays To Stay Healthy
Having an idea of what Keystone Mercy pays for different health care services will show you that it really pays to keep yourself healthy!
  • Care For Your Children - EPSDT
This special health care program, called Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT), was created to make sure that children get the medical care they need.
*Not everyone is eligible for these services.  Please call Member Services to find out if you are eligible.
