Health Advocacy Programs

Keystone Mercy is committed to the communities we serve. We work closely with community leaders, advocates and members to develop programs that are relevant to the population we serve.

Health Education Outreach Advisory Community (HEAOC)

The Health Education Outreach Advisory Committee (HEOAC) was created by Keystone Mercy Health Plan to strengthen and promote community trust. HEOAC is comprised of community members who understand and appreciate Keystone Mercy's mission of helping people get care, stay well and build healthy communities. HEOAC acts as a "goodwill ambassador" for Keystone Mercy. Members of HEOAC include providers, community advocates and Keystone Mercy members who demonstrate a strong investment in their communities. Many participants have a history of advocacy for the people we serve, and are knowledgeable about and supportive of Keystone Mercy's mission.

Advocacy

At Keystone Mercy, we are driven by our mission: to help people get care, stay well, and build healthy communities. We have a special concern for those who are poor. This mission is at the heart of our work, and drives us to go beyond what is expected of a health care company – to truly touch our members personally and to make a difference in their lives and in their communities. We are committed to providing our associates and community partners with information about legislative issues that could negatively affect our members. By advocating for our members, we are working to fulfill our mission and demonstrate our values.
