Partnering with the Community

At the core of Keystone Mercy’s success is its mission.  In addition to providing access to quality health care for its members, Keystone Mercy partners with the communities it serves.  Through participation in neighborhood functions and community outreach events, Keystone Mercy makes a difference in the areas where our members live.  We lend our support and work with groups who address social issues that affect health care, such as homelessness, violence prevention, unemployment and education. 

Speakers and Community Outreach Representatives – Keystone Mercy Health Plan can provide speakers for your school, civic or faith-based groups. 

Community, Civic or Social Service Organizations – We will be happy to speak to your members and/or staff about the following: 

• Keystone Mercy Health Plan
• History of Medicaid managed care in Pennsylvania and the HealthChoices Program
• Quality improvement initiatives
• Keystone Mercy health education programs, such as Healthy Hoops and the Health Ministry Program for Women

Schools – If you are planning activities or a meeting where parents will be attending, we will be happy to speak about Keystone Mercy Health Plan and Pennsylvania’s HealthChoices Program.

Communities and Neighborhoods – If you are planning a community activity, such as a health fair, we will be happy to attend to provide information on preventive health initiatives.
