Russell Gianforcaro Executive Director

As Executive Director of the Keystone Mercy Health Plan, Russell Gianforcaro is responsible for the strategic direction, growth and leadership of Keystone Mercy Health Plan, including the daily operations of Medical Affairs, Network Operations, Information Services, Quality, Marketing, Regulatory and Legislative Affairs.

Most recently, Russ served as Chief Accounting Officer for the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies (AMFC), where he provided enterprise-wide financial and accounting oversight for the Company. Mr. Gianforcaro previously served as Chief Financial Officer for Pennsylvania Managed Care. In that role he managed all financial services for Keystone Mercy Health Plan in Philadelphia and AmeriHealth Mercy Health Plan in Harrisburg.

Prior to joining the AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies, Mr. Gianforcaro spent 11 years serving in a financial management role with Health Partners, where he was responsible for overseeing various financial, regulatory, and operational aspects of that company's external financial reporting, as well as payroll, accounts payable, reinsurance billing, and Medicare reporting. He also played a leadership role in identifying and installing financial system upgrades.

Mr. Gianforcaro also spent two years serving in a financial management role with several hospitals within the Graduate Health System and six years at Deloitte & Touche, an international accounting firm, where he served various health care, insurance, retailing, property management and leasing clients.

Mr. Gianforcaro has a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Villanova University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the Pennsylvania and American Institutes of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA and AICPA).
