About UsKeystone Mercy Health Plan is Pennsylvania's largest Medical Assistance (Medicaid) managed care health plan serving more than 295,000 Medical Assistance recipients in Southeastern Pennsylvania including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Keystone Mercy Health Plan is a mission driven, health care ministry of the Sisters of Mercy with more than 20 years of experience. Its corporate parent partners are Mercy Health System and Keystone First, a subsidiary of Independence Blue Cross. Our plan offers members an extensive provider network of physicians, specialists, pharmacies and hospitals. In addition, members receive many benefits and services including vision care; dental care; prescription medications; vitamins for children under the age of 21; special needs case management; programs for expectant mothers; and Medical Assistance transportation, to name a few. Members have access to care 24 hours a day, seven days a week through our network of primary care physicians. Our sole focus on Medicaid gives us the advantage of being able to customize our systems and processes to best serve a unique population of ethnically diverse adults and children. Our health education and wellness programs empower our members to maintain, control and improve their health. Our basic belief is common sense - when we help our members better manage their health, we can help them avoid serious illnesses. The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) awarded Keystone Mercy Health Plan with its highest accreditation status of "Excellent." Keystone Mercy earned this accreditation for its service and clinical quality that meets or exceeds NCQA's rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement. NCQA accreditation confirms that Keystone Mercy provides the highest quality care and service to its members. In living our mission and values, Keystone Mercy goes beyond providing access to quality health care for our members. We advocate for the underserved and partner with our communities. Throughout the year, Keystone Mercy employees volunteer their time and resources to share our mission and make a difference in the lives of our members and our communities. For example, since 1988, employees have contributed nearly $1 million through our annual Mission Partnership Program. Monies donated by employees through this program support the Member Scholarship Program, Member Art Program and Gifts of Mercy. Last year, the Member Scholarship program awarded scholarships to 34 members to continue their education. Together with its family of health plans, Keystone Mercy Health Plan employs more than 1,400 employees and comprises the largest multi-state Medical Assistance managed care organization in the country serving 2.7 million members nationwide. |
